GAIA 20:30 Biodiversity Campaign | 2022

About the Campaign

With over 100 member organisations in over 79 countries, FEE is the world’s largest Environmental Education organisation. Through our five programmes, we strive to make a difference every day. Blue Flag, along with the other programmes (Green Key, Eco-Schools, Learning about Forests, and Young Reporters for the Environment) adopts a solution-based approach to empower people to create a more environmentally conscious world.

To disseminate our principles and encourage communities to take an active part in supporting and saving our natural environment, we take part in a large Biodiversity Campaign, encompassing a set of activities targeted at different stakeholders to emphasise the importance of protecting nature. The campaign is open to the entire FEE network.

Together, we can change the world!

Supporting the United Nations

We align our campaign to the UN Decade’s goals and vision and we strive to support and help implement #GenerationRestoration. More information on the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration (2021-2030) are available here!

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) created by the United Nations, presents a plan for peace and prosperity for both people and the planet, starting today and leading in the future. The following SDGs are directly supported by the campaign’s activities:

  • Quality Education (Goal 4)

  • Climate Action (Goal 13)

  • Life Below Water (Goal 14)

  • Life above Land (Goal 15)
